Most aspiring muscle guys who lift weights want to be huge…
But if you want to be the most ripped, muscular guy you can be, it is not going to happen if you get drunk even once/week. While a couple social drinks can actually be healthy, getting completely trashed can knock down your testosterone levels for 3-5 days. Testosterone builds muscle. The more testosterone you have, the bigger and leaner you become. You cannot expect to make any significant progress if you have the testosterone levels of a 12-year old girl for most of the week because of that big party Saturday night.
One major issue with the consumption of alcohol has to do with its effects on the release of growth hormone. Growth hormone is the substance in the body that plays a very large role when it comes to building muscle, stimulating other cell growth and development, and promoting optimal bone growth. When this hormone is low, you aren’t going to get the same amount of muscle development as you would when it’s at an optimal level.
Alcohol consumption also hinders recovery time as well!
Your diet may be perfect, and you may me training like an animal, but get drunk every week and you are wasting your time.
It’s common sense that you will meet way more hookups and fuck-buddies if you are muscular and ripped than if you are fat and drunk. If you often go out with friends or drink at bars because you are shy or trying to forget about something….. STOP RIGHT NOW!
