Teen Boys Are Becoming Addicted To Steroids

It seems that steroids’ attraction is also making its influence over teenage boys. In their quest for getting the perfect body, teenage boys are increasingly ending up in hospitals after injecting anabolic steroids.

According to the official figures, the admittance of under-18′s in cases of poisoning from anabolic muscle-building drugs has increased by almost half in five years, from 97 to 138. On the other hand, the number of 11 to 15-year-olds teenages using steroids soared by doubling between 2001 and 2007, from 6,800 to 13,300!!!!!

The figures were discovered as a part of a U.K. parliamentary answer given by health minister Dawn Primarolo to Liberal Democrat home affairs spokesman Tom Brake. Dawn said, “The dramatic increase in the number of children being admitted to hospitals for steroid misuse is extremely concerning.” He further added, “It’s clear that many children feel increasingly pressured by society’s obsession with the perfect body and some are using steroids to try to deal with it.”

In this regard, DrugScope chief executive Martin Barnes said that steroids might be viewed as a shortcut to the perfect body image, but the reality could be quite different.

From Steroidology:

Teenage boys are increasingly ending up in hospital after injecting anabolic steroids in the search for the ‘perfect body’.

The number of under-18s admitted for poisoning from the muscle-building drugs has soared by almost half in five years, from 97 to 138.

But that is only the tip of the iceberg, according to official figures.

The number of 11 to 15-year-olds taking steroids almost doubled between 2001 and 2007, from 6,800 to 13,300.

Children using the drugs are most likely to be young boys who want to emulate sporting and fashion heroes. Anabolic steroids are chemically produced class-C drugs that mimic testosterone. For males, the sideeffects can be withered testicles, sterility and breast growth. In women it can be the growth of facial hair.

Studies like this usually make us think twice about using steroids, but in many cases such studies are biased to begin with.

If you are a teen who is contemplating steroid use, please don’t start.

But if you are dead set on doing it anyway, please at least do your homework!

WWE Gets Ready To Face The Music

Autopsy results for WWE wrestler Andrew “The Test” Martin’s death will be released two weeks from now and Vince McMahon is now receiving advice on how to handle the possible media onslaught.

Martin’s demise is the latest in the series of steroids-related deaths in the WWE.

While roid-raging, wrestler Chris Benoit murdered his wife and son then he took his own life.

And Eddie Guerrero died of a heart attack which was also attributed to his long term use of steroids.

With Martin’s death happening at the height of steroid scandal in the world of professional sports, McMahon can only do so much to keep the media mayhem at bay which could probably be worse than what he had gone through with Benoit.

McMahon and the WWE should really start planning on some damage control… especially since Martin’s death will definitely put them on the center ring.

Can’t you just see the matchup: The Media vs. McMahon and WWE.

And this time the WWE can’t rely on their muscles to knockout the opponent.

Because when it comes to the steroid issue, the media can be pretty vicious.

Steroid Paraphernalia Might Indict Roger Clemens On Perjury Charges

Posted In: Baseball, News, Sports, Steroids

Last year, anabolic steroid paraphernalia linking New York Yankees player Roger Clemens to the use of performance enhancing drugs was tested positive to contain his DNA. This strengthens the testimony of Brian McNamee who was accused of injecting Clemens with PEDs and human growth hormone. Clemens did not deny that he was injected with substances but says they were not steroids…. just Vitamin B12 and lidocaine.

Yeah, ummm, okay….

Well Clemens is NOW accused of committing perjury for telling the Congress last year that he did not use performance enhancing drugs. McNamee says otherwise, producing evidence that would prove Clemens guilty.

And it’s good evidence too, like: vials, syringes and gauze pads!!!

Kinda gross, eh? I mean, who saves biohazard material like that?!! LOL!

Reports claim that Clemens’ DNA was found on one of the syringes and gauzes pads used to wipe his blood.

Rusty Hardin, Clemens’ lawyer, said that it was not surprising that evidence had surfaced.

From The New York Times:

“Duh,” he said with exaggeration. “Do you really think McNamee was going to fabricate this stuff and not make sure there were substances on there? The fact is Roger never used steroids or H.G.H.”

When McNamee handed over the materials to federal authorities in January 2008, he said that he had kept them in a Federal Express box in his basement since he had used them to inject Clemens in 2000 and 2001.

The tests on the materials are being conducted at the Los Angeles-area laboratory of Dr. Don Catlin. Since the government began aggressively looking into the distribution of performance-enhancing drugs in 2002, Catlin has been the lead drug-tester for federal prosecutors.

Personally (and isn’t that what it’s really all about?), we’d feel much better if Roger Clemens just came out and said, “Performance enhancing drugs? You’re damn straight I took them. How else do think I’d be able to win seven Cy Young awards after banging country singer Mindy McCready every night and only getting three hours of sleep?”

Darryl Strawberry Wishes He Used Steroids

Posted In: News, Sports, Steroids

Outspoken Mets rightfielder Darryl Strawberry did not have to think twice when he said that he wished he took steroids back in the ‘80s. A bold statement at the height of Alex Rodriguez’s steroid scandal.

In an interview, Strawberry reasoned that the intense competition in his field would have driven him to use performance enhancing drugs if they had been offered to him.

He also praised Rodriguez for coming out and admitting that he was into steroids.

From Newsday:

“I love Alex and respect him, and I’m glad Alex was man enough to stand up and tell the truth about it,” Strawberry said. “But I have a hard time with the union when one player out of 104 players’ names comes out and it’s Alex Rodriguez – on testing that was done that was supposed to be confidential.

“Obviously, somebody had it out for him, and it’s not fair. If you’re going to name one, why don’t you name all of them. That’s the problem I have with this whole situation. They have put Alex in a situation where it’s him alone against the world. That’s not fair. It’s unfortunate, but that’s what happens when you play in New York.”

Strawberry also commented that younger baseball players are more susceptible to the lure of steroids because they are naive and increasingly very competitive. He said he was like that when he was their age…. which I guess means that he is supposed understand their perspective.

Uh… whatever you say, Daryl!

Basic Steroids Info: What Type Of Needle Should I Use?

Posted In: Q & A, Steroids

For those of you who are on an anabolic steroid cycle or are merely considering it, here’s what you need to know about needles and injections…

To understand what type of needle/syringe combo you need, you first have to understand a few basic attributes such as needle gauge and needle length.

What is needle guage?
The gauge of the needle refers to the width or barrel size of the needle. It is important to always remember that the bigger the number the smaller the needle size, it’s the opposite of what you might initially think. For instance, the smaller the number is, the larger the needle size is. So a 16 gauge needle is larger than 23 gauge.

What gauge needles should I use?
If you are injecting intramuscularly (IM) either water or oil based liquids then the standard needle size is a 22 or 23 gauge, for glutes and quads whereas you may want to use a 25 gauge needle for delts which is a smaller muscle. Generally just use common sense because oil is thicker therefore you want a slightly bigger needle hole (smaller needle gauge) so you aren’t there all day trying to inject.

Common Needle Gauges:

Location Gauge
Glutes 22 or 23
Quads 22 or 23
Delts 25

Needle length:
The needle length is usually 1.5 inch but you can use 1 inch for smaller site injections like deltoid injections. I would recommend you use 1.5 inch needle all the time to ensure you reach the deep muscle tissue.

Common Needle Lengths:

Location Size
Glutes 1.5 inch
Quads 1.5 inch
Delts 1.0 inch

Syringe size:
The standard syringe is the 3 cc (3ml – same size) will be what 95% of users will use when injecting. The 3cc syringe is so popular because if you are injecting 1cc, 2cc or 3cc the 3cc has you covered.

Brand of needle:
Terumo, B-D, and Monoject are the most common brands. Look for the ones with the “ultra thin wall design” because that means you can inject more fluid without buying a larger gauge needle. The ones that have this design is Terumo and B-D, with the sharpest being Terumo.

Pre-loading syringes:
If you have to just make sure they are stored safely because if the plungers are accidentally pushed then you lost some of your steroid plus you’ve wasted big money as well. If possible don’t preload your syringes and just leave your gear in the vial or amp until you’re ready.

A-Rod is a LIAR!!!

Posted In: News, Sports, Steroids

alexrodriquez1

As we mentioned earlier this week, disgraced New York Yankees baseball player Alex Rodriguez keeps coming up with bullshit excuses about his “performance-enhancing” drug use.

According to Fraudriguez, his cousin apparently injected him with an over-the-counter substance called Primobolan to gain an energy boost.

But now we’ve come to learn that Rodriguez lied! Shocker right?

According to Dr. Pia Veras, the official in charge of the agency which regulates the pharmaceutical drugs in the Dominican Republic, it was impossible for A-Roid to legally purchase Primobolan. Dr. Veras said the drug wasn’t available for legal purchase between 2001 and 2003.

The doctor states:

“What Alex Rodriguez stated at the press conference doesn’t make sense. It is important for us to clarify that such substance has not been registered and is not currently registered for legal sale in Dominican pharmacies — not now and the same applies for the years 2001 to 2003.”

A-Rod is trying to pull the wool over our eyes!

And reports verify that after contacting several pharmacies through the Dominican Republic, all reported Primobolan is not available for purchase. Though they did mention that testosterone is available as an over-the-counter steroid in their pharmacies.

A-Roid coincidentally tested positive for Primobolan and testosterone.

So basically, he got them illegally!!! No worries though. He’ll probably just blame his cousin again, or maybe this time some manager or former employee.

Y’all know by now that we don’t give a shit about steroid use when it comes to bodybuilding (simply because it is an accepted part of the industry). But sports and steroids do not mix… you can;t have athletes on steroids competing against athletes who don’t use them,.

That would be considered cheating… and cheating SUCKS.

The Truth About A-Rod's "Bole" Steroid Use

Posted In: News, Sports, Steroids

We just watched the A-Rod press conference, and we’re pretty sure ESPN reporters/anchors are dense, and A-Rod mis-planned his agenda a bit.

Some bullet-pointed thoughts:

1) “Bole” is clearly the Dominican slang for Primobolan. No doubt the media thinks this is like a secret street drug, however. Please someone help them clear this up.

2) Primo is the American slang. Not bolle, bolay, boli, or other such steroid slang nonsense.

3) We know these things because as you well know, we love everything steroids and HGH have to offer. They make you big and strong – that’s so cool. Plus, needles!!! Yay!

4) You don’t buy it “on the streets”. You can buy that over-the-counter in pharmacies down there, and it’s totally legal.

5) Ripped Fuel (a.k.a Rip Fuel) is an ephedra-based fat burner sold by Twin Labs, and it’s still produced, minus the ephedrine. You can still get the original if you’re clever.

6) Ripped Fuel (the old version) works. We miss having it readily available.

7) A-Rod wants us to think he was the most naive 24-year old on Earth. Sorry but that excuse doesn’t fly with us!!! If he took it when he was 16, we’d probably buy his version of events. We simply can’t accept that someone who had been in pro baseball for six years was clueless as to what he was doing. Especially someone as obviously intelligent and savvy as Alex Rodriguez. Come on… he was banging Madonna for Christ’s sake!

8.) Manny Ramirez could sell the ‘young & naive’ excuse… not A-Rod.

9) We did appreciate the fact that he sat up there and took questions, and wants to leave it behind him. He was pretty frank in many respects, and came off as very human. So go forth and continue on with your baseballing Mr. Rodriguez.

Overall, we wrote this entire post for point #1, because somewhere right now as we speak there are any number of journalists pumping out 1000-word columns about how aghast and offended they are by the “illegal street steroid bole”, crafting awkward metaphors about Alex Rodriguez in the back alleys of the Dominican.

How Much Water Should I Drink While On A Steroid Cycle?

Posted In: Food & Nutrition, Q & A, Steroids

drink-water-steroids-cycle-hgh-muscle-porn

The standard recommendation is that everyone should get 64 oz. of water a day.

On a high protein diet and participating in an intense weight training program you should try and get even more.

But if you’re currently running an anabolic steroids cycle (or if you’re planning to in the future), a good goal to aim for is one eight-ounce glass of water for every 10-12.5 lbs. of bodyweight.

So, if you weigh 150 lbs., you should be drinking 12-15 glasses of water a day (150lbs/12.5 = 12 glasses, 150lbs/10 = 15glasses).

The best way to get to your water intake goals is by starting the day off with a glass of water immediately upon waking.

From there, continuously sipping rather than gulping every once in a while is the best course to take.

You’ll be pissing like a racehorse for the first week or so while your body adjusts, but soon after you won’t be peeing as often… and you may even notice your muscles looking bigger in the mirror as the fibers get lubricated by all that H2O!!!

Gene Activity Affected By Steroid Hormones

Posted In: Steroids

As per a research by scientists at the University of Bristol and the National Cancer Institute (NCI), gene activity can be affected via intermittent signaling by steroid hormones.

These findings were published online and appeared in the September 2009 issue of Nature Cell Biology.

It is believed that this finding would have major implications to ascertain how steroids work besides opening novel avenues to new therapies.

From News-Medical.Net:

In this new study, the researchers demonstrate that ultradian hormone stimulation induces the pulsed expression of genes (known as gene pulsing) over the same period, both in cultured cells and in animal models. Initially, the researchers administered corticosterone, a naturally occurring glucocorticoid hormone in rodents, in a pulsed manner to cultured mouse cells and then observed that the levels of newly synthesized RNA from glucocorticoid receptor-regulated genes tracked precisely with the hormone pulses.

The reported research results argue that gene pulsing regulated by glucocorticoid receptors is directly linked to varying levels of gene activity. Professor Stafford Lightman, head of the Henry Wellcome Laboratories for Integrative Neuroscience and Endocrinology, at the University of Bristol, said: “We have previously shown that the hormone cortisol is released in pulses in man as well as rodents. The present results now show that this pattern of hormone release is critical for good health and provides a novel concept for new drug design.”

It is considered by members of the medical fraternity that such studies would help in defining the potential role of ultradian application of glucocorticoid receptor therapy to a significant extent.
