Brent Schrotenboer of the San Diego Union-Tribune has just compiled a detailed history of the use of anabolic steroids in America’s National Football League.
It identifies 185 players publicly linked to steroids since 1962!!!
The San Diego Union-Tribune has done its own “Mitchell Report” of sorts on performance-enhancing drugs in pro football.
As you might recall, Major League Baseball paid over $20 million to the law firm of former Senator George Mitchell to compile the so-called “Mitchell Report”, which listed the names of 85 basbeball players who juiced since 1993.
The “Schrotenboer Report on the Use of Steroids in the NFL” confirms that the Mitchell Report was a waste of money. The substance, if not the verbosity, of the Schrotenboer Report exceeds that of the Mitchell Report detailing football players who were publicly linked to steroid use over the past four decades.
Schrotenboer was only paid the salary of a staff writer for a major newspaper while compiling his report… which breaks downs steroid users by team!!!!
